A BRIEF HISTORY OF OUR FIRM:

JAVIER ALONSO GONZÁLEZ is the founder of the firm;he was born in Torrijos, in the province of Tolède. .

In the seventies, he decided to work for his own account and created his first company: JAMONES EL CHATO, S.A., marketing various marks and thought of installing a ham drier which could contain up to 5,000 pieces annually, with a staff of 3 employees.

Thus, his company was built gradually with many efforts until 1990, when he decided to increase it by building new ham driers (annual production of 50,000 pieces) and by modifying the installations, the fleet of trucks, packing line and the number of employees. The total of the necessary capital was brought in by the funds generated by his company.

In the nineties, he continued to develop the installations, made up of four large driers, with a surface of 20,000 square metres.

Today, JAMONES EL CHATO, S.A. a family capital, modern and dynamic company , built with and adapted to new technologies. It is located in Torrijos (Toledo),and counts 100 employees. With installations which produce 1,000,000 ham and shoulders annually , our articles are sold in all over Spain and we export to the E.U countries like France, Germany, Portugal, Italy, Belgium, etc…

We have a broad choice of dry hams and shoulders, chorizos, fillets, sausages and pork- meat.

OUR COMMERCIAL NETWORK &ESTABLISHMENT IN SPAIN:

Our constant craving for extending outside our regional barriers into our national market, lead to be present on Big Food Trade Fairs.We have also established  business relations with Supermarkets, distributor chains, by relying on our products, brand and service quality.

We are also in contact with clients in the European Union, ( in France, Italy, Germany, etc,) thanks to our the Paris, London and Franckfurt presence on exhibitions.

Today, our brands JASETO, ( Jamón Serrano Torrijos) and EL CHATO,  are well established and may be sampled in Malls, Big Chains of Supermarkets, restaurants, etc. Today a new brand for the manufacture of iberico and acorn products is born: “ LA DEHESA MANCHEGA”.

we have a very ambitious project for the future, to extend our business network with more clients, by  realizing advertising campaigns, and by being present on trade fairs. Our wish is to make our products more famous and required by the final customers.

Besides, we are looking for business agents in the European countries in order to increase our export volume.

All the necessary capital to carry out this firm plan have been brought by the funds generated by our activity.

For all of that, we are really proud of the results obtained. And we are going on work every day to obtain new challenges.
